The Disciplined Forces Commission's Berbice consultations have been extremely disappointing, Secretary Gino Persaud says.
The commission held hearings in Corriverton and Rose Hall over three days this week as it works to complete its final report for the reform of the security forces, which is due in May.
Persaud told the Government Information Agency (GINA) that only two persons showed up for the Corriverton meet on Wednesday, while only 12 attended at Rose Hall on Thursday.
On Thursday, the commissioners also visited the New Amsterdam Prison, where they looked at overcrowding and housing conditions of the prisoners.
Persaud said the commission is on track for the completion of its final report and is now winding down its activities, in keeping with its mandate.
