Minister of Home Affairs, Ronald Gajraj has declared May 26 a public holiday.
May 26 will be observed as Independence Day, marking the country's 38th independence anniversary.
Two weeks ago Parliament approved the inclusion of May 26 in the calendar of public holidays.
