NCN receives $150,000.00 from N&MGG for Olympics

The National Communica-tion Network (NCN) yesterday received $150,000 from the Neal and Massey Guyana Group (N&MGG) in support of NCN's coverage of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) release, Marketing Director of N&MGG Navin Thakur, who made the presentation of the cheque at NCN's studios said that his company is dedicated to sports and wants the entire Guyanese nation to view the Olympic Games in Athens.
The release said Thakur wanted to inspire Guyanese to strive and excel in sports and hoped that the Guyanese contingent in Athens will strike gold.
NCN coverage of the Olympic Games commenced yesterday. This was made possible through an agreement with the Caribbean Media Cor-poration (CMC) and the National Broadcasting Company, Inc. USA (NBC).
NCN is inviting partial sponsorship which is open to members of the general public.
