President Bharrat Jagdeo is calling on Guyanese to not forget those whose circumstances may not be the best "during this season of goodwill and generosity…"

Noting too that the traditional warmth and hospitality of Guyanese know no limits and this is part of what makes Christmas so special, he said: "Let us spare a thought for those who may have lost loved ones, those who are indigent or those incapacitated in one way or the other. May Christmas bring tidings of peace, comfort and solace to you as well as hope.

I look forward to all of us building the spirit of the season to continue to move our country forward."

Extending to all visitors a wish for a truly memorable stay in Guyana, he said it was pleasing to note that so many Guyanese have come home for the holidays to share in the traditional celebrations; reuniting with friends and family.

"I trust that you enjoy your stay in our beautiful country. We welcome all of you to Guyana," he said.

He extended wishes for a peaceful and joyous Christmas to all Guyanese and visitors on behalf of his wife Varshanie, himself and the government.
