Moves from one of the dances which will be on show this weekend.

Twenty-eight years ago, the National Dance Company (NDC) hosted its first 'Dance Season' and this has become an annual event.

This year, the now well-known feature event will be held under the name 'A Season For All Seasons' at the National Cultural Centre tonight and tomorrow night only, beginning at 8 pm.

The show will feature six segments or seasons entitled 'Festival', 'Society', 'Movement/Mood' and 'Christmas' encompassing modern, Indian, African and all other dance forms except ballroom and all-Guyanese sound tracks.

The 14-member dance company will put on approximately 21 dances. Mark Cyrus, the company's musician, will lead the drummers which will be one of the attractions of the show.

The NDC is noted for outstanding performances throughout the country, and just recently made a big impression at the Carifesta celebrations.

It promises dances that will touch very aspect of society and things that affect people generally: issues like HIV and the effects on society and family life; life throughout the years with back-to-school music right up to the Passa Passa trends.

Instructor and Choreographer Vivienne Daniel, who is directing the show said all the dancers are from varying backgrounds; they are people who are dedicated to the art of dance and promise to entertain.

Tickets cost $500 and $300 and are on sale at the National Cultural Centre and National School of Dance.
