The details of the aid are to be worked out between the two parties and the army is to indicate to the Chinese government, the areas where assistance is needed.
A release from the army said the Chinese Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the army chief at his office on Monday. During the meeting Collins made known his preparedness to continue the cordial relationship which exists between the two offices and in return Jungao requested the same support which was given to his predecessor. He noted that this would further enhance the relationship which existed between the armies of Guyana and China.
