THE trial of Swiss House cambio owner Farouk Razac and his beauty queen wife, Carolan Lynch, will begin today and continue on January 8 and 9.
The dates were fixed yesterday, with the agreement of Defence Counsel Nigel Hughes and Ronald Burch-Smith, when the couple made another appearance before Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys.
That happened after Police Inspector Lloyd Thomas, for the Prosecution, served the couple with statements in the case which will be tried summarily instead of indictably as they were originally charged.
The husband and wife Razacs are on $1M and $500,000 bail, respectively.
They were arrested after a Police raid on their Lot 106 Ireng Place, Bel Air Park, Georgetown home, where four 9mm magazines, being components of a firearm, were allegedly also found.
They are charged, as well, with having an unlicensed ‘Beretta’ automatic pistol and 120 rounds of 9 mm bullets.
