Avery Grant - student: 'I plan on writing five subjects at the CXC examination in May/June of this year and I am hoping that I will do well. I was unable to write my CXC examinations in 2006 because I was out of the country on vacation.'
Linden Smartt - sales representative: 'I plan on owning my own home this year and starting a family. I was unable to do these things in 2006 because things did not work out for me and someone else. I was single throughout the last part of 2006 and I am looking forward this year to finding a Christian girl to settle down with.
Angad - chauffeur: 'I am happy and contented since I am making progress all the time. The same plan that I had for 2006 will work for this year. I accomplished everything I wanted to achieve in 2006 and I am hoping for the best in this year. In my area, Cummings Lodge, there has been a lot of progress and I am seeing everything going good. A lot of help has been coming in my area. I'm just at a climax in my life and I will keep going.'
Alice Singh - entrepreneur: 'I plan on taking my little business further in this New Year. I plan to rear my birds on a bigger scale and also to renovate my home. I have other little things that I need to accomplish in this year that I was unable to do last year. One of which is to spend more time with my family since I was really busy last year and did not get to spend as much time with them.'
Donovan Matthews - journalist: 'I plan on having a child in this New Year with my wife. I have a plan for my life and this is what I want to accomplish in the New Year; I'm hoping for twins. I didn't do it last year so I would like to start my family this year. Additionally I also plan to do a degree in computer science which I did not get to do in 2006.'
Robert Persaud - missionary: 'I plan on doing construction to additional quarters at my home in this year; I was unable to do it in 2006 because of things beyond my control. I also plan to read out ten books in the early part of the year which I was unable to finish because other things came up. I read approximately one book a week and I plan to finish those books that I have left back. I need to catch up on my reading.'
Jacqueline Small - hairdresser: 'I was unable to go to Trinidad last year where I'm originally from since I have been spending time with my husband here but I plan to go this year. I was also unable to complete my house here but I plan on completing it this year.'
Onica Matthews - housewife: 'I am hoping to build my own house this year and complete my studies. I got married the last week in 2006 and due to the wedding my husband and I had to put building our house on hold until this year. We currently rent a place but we are looking forward to owning our own home.'
Doreen Rutherford - retired: 'I was unable to see my grandchildren last year but I plan on visiting them this year; they live in the United States of America. I am visiting my home here in Guyana so I'm looking forward to this New Year and returning to the USA to visit them.'
Debra Jeffrey - self employed: 'I would like to accomplish all of my goals this year that I was unable to do last year. First, I want to finish my home which I started building last year and I'm hoping that it will be completed by June of this year. I also was unable to go on a few trips last year and this year I plan on taking those trips.'
