Soca singing sensation Compton 'Coody' Hodges plans to make his own cultural invasion with his new soca release "Bumsey Rolling" as he seeks to describe the anticipated antics of revellers during this year Mashramani road parade.
Having won the road March competition for three consecutive years with "Extra Soca" in 2003, "Umbrella Party" in 2003 and "Balloon City" in 2004, Hodge is confident that his new release will be popular but whether it will win the road march is dependent on the frequency with which the selection is played.
Hodge told The Scene that "Bumsey Rolling" is a bouncy, high-energy song and is guaranteed to have everyone dancing and singing whenever they hear it.
Hodge has proven himself time and time again as an accomplished singer/performer in all aspects of music and had established himself as being a force to be reckoned with in the Soca arena
He said "Bumsey Rolling' is an extension of what he does as an artiste," I love to experiment with various styles of the art form and this pulsating song captures all of the energy movements that occurs among revellers when they are out to party whether it is at fetes or on the streets on Mashramani day."
