Pointing to the country’s beauty, it’s novelty in the international arena and the peace and security guaranteed there, Warner said he believed the venue would be easy to market.

He assured Mitchell and the other board members that he would aggressively seeking opportunities in the international arena for Grenada to ensure the stadium was viable.

Warner said the recently concluded World Cup had given Grenada a positive image in the international community and noted the country would continue to benefit long-term from the exposure gained during the tournament.

Mitchell also urged the board to speedily undertake the process of creating opportunities to make the National Stadium commercially successful.

Warner is joined on the board by Tourism Minister Brenda Hood, Sports Minister Roland Bhola, Richard Hallam of the De Savary Group, businessman Hugh Dolland, former West Indies player, Junior Murray and Sport Policy adviser, Barry Collymore.
